Executive Summary
NATEY, the Naturally Aspiring To Train and Empower Youth, is dedicated to transforming the lives of at-risk Nigerian youth, both graduates and non-graduates. Our mission is to equip them with the skills and resources necessary for empowerment and financial stability, ultimately breaking the cycle of unemployment, reducing crime, alleviating poverty, and promoting mental health wellness. NATEY is a humanitarian non-governmental organization (NGO) with headquarters located in Abuja, Nigeria's Federal Capital Territory, and a strategic branch office in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. We are committed to addressing the pressing challenges faced by Nigerian youth and providing them with opportunities for growth and success. Our vision is to empower and uplift the lives of over 200 at-risk Nigerian youth, enabling them to become self-sufficient, confident, and productive members of society. We firmly believe that by investing in the skills and futures of our youth, we can create a brighter and more prosperous Nigeria. The core vision of our organization is to equip these youths with valuable skills, thereby mitigating the high rates of unemployment, crime, poverty, and promoting mental health wellness. NATEY's primary objectives are to provide at-risk youths with skills acquisition opportunities and financial empowerment, enabling them to pursue their dreams. In doing so, they can, in turn, empower other youths within our society. NATEY will primarily serve unemployed youths, including both graduates and non-graduates, within the age range of 18-30 years. NATEY aims to provide group counseling services as well as one-on-one mentoring for youths whose mental health has been adversely affected by unemployment and challenging living conditions prevalent in the country. NATEY'S EXPANSIVE SKILL ACQUISITION PROGRAM NATEY envisions a comprehensive skill acquisition program for youths to empower them for a brighter future. Our planned skills include: 1. I.T Services and Programming: Equipping youths with essential information technology skills and programming languages to excel in the digital age. 2. Cryptocurrency Education: Providing knowledge and understanding of cryptocurrencies to enable informed financial decisions. 3. Telecommunications: Offering training in telecommunications to prepare youths for careers in this rapidly evolving industry. 4. Coding: Teaching coding and programming languages to foster innovation and entrepreneurship. 5. Welding Services: Providing practical skills in welding for employment opportunities in construction and related industries. 6. Culinary Skills: Training in culinary arts to empower youths with cooking and hospitality skills. 7. Tailoring and Fashion Designs: Offering fashion design and tailoring courses to encourage creativity and entrepreneurship in the fashion industry. COMMUNICATION AND YOUTH ENGAGEMENT NATEY recognizes the importance of effective communication with our beneficiaries. We strive to maintain open and accessible channels of communication to ensure that the youths can easily voice their challenges and concerns. We believe that a supportive and responsive organization is essential to nurturing their growth and success. FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS While we aspire to fulfill our vision without financial constraints, we acknowledge the pivotal role of funding. Financial resources are necessary not only for skills acquisition but also for the establishment of our NGO, encompassing company registrations and office setups in strategic locations. NATEY's sustainability and impact are reliant on securing the financial support required for these critical initiatives.
