Project Overview

The project “Innovation Centre hub for business, trade and innovation" will be a well-equipped and most affordable Innovation Centre businesses commercial center and Training , set in a strategic and right place in the new Konza smart Techno City that may be replicated in other cities in the Africa. It aims at eradicating a compilation of job creation barriers confronting to create decent jobs through businesses. One of our objectives among others is to reduce the current cost for renting commercial building by 60%, provide advertisement and marketing, identify opportunities for Innovation Centre both formal and informal, linking Innovation Centre to opportunities, conduct market survey aimed at identifying the most profitable opportunities for Innovation Centre, and to loosen burdens facing Innovation Centre so they can access financial services. We envision that within only Two years, “The Innovation/Technology Hub” at Konza Techno polis smart City will generate between 500 and 1,000 directly new and sustainable jobs for Innovation Centres of all categories, and generate revenues. These profits will be saved and given to Infinity Group Community investors who are going to fund will get their money back within a period of 2 years . Innovation Centre Technology hub can generate between 5,000 and 10,000 new jobs around the city and Lower Eastern Areas in two years if it is replicated across 3 major cities in Kenya/Africa. We are seeking funding from the Infinity International Group for $ 10,620,500 for construction plus all the other costs.We are projecting that once complete the innovation centre will be generating 6,120,000 plus annually,for 2 years a total of $ 12,240,000.The investors will co-own with the local directors for 50 years, so they will be sharing the profits every year for 50 years effective from the second year.

Executive Summary

Eastern Computer & Commercial Institute is one of the oldest Training Institute in lower Eastern areas of Kenya and its is fully registered.The proposed Innovation centre will be the first of its kind in Africa,built on the new 5000 Acres Konza Smart city,it will be a one stop shop for all ICT,Innovation and Entrepreneusrhp services.It will cater for the local,students and internationals clients within and outside the city leveraging on the facilities/infrastructure on the city. Numerous reports, researches, and statistics show that self-employment via Emerging Technologies and entrepreneurship has become the common choice for unemployed in Africa, nearly 80% of the unemployed and the employed are looking for jobs in innovations and Entrepreneurs hubs . Yet, an entrepreneurship ecosystem conducive for Innovation Centre to start, grow, and sustain their businesses is still not sufficient. This is confirmed by the fact that more than 35% of Innovation Centre Tenants Businesses collapse in initial phase due to high price on renting business offices, lack of good markets, very limited access to advertisements, and limited access to business development services, etc.
