Project Overview

Introduction to ‘Whole Person Wellness and Fitness’ The need for specialized wellness and fitness centers is growing in demand in America due to a variety of reasons: • An aging population that may feel uncomfortable in typical gym facilities. • Two of three U.S. adults are overweight or obese (69%), with their overweight condition negatively affecting their knee and hip joints, cardiovascular health, and causing a plethora of other health issues. • Almost 20% of children in U.S. are obese! • Rural residents have more limited access to the best wellness and fitness centers. We will coordinate transportation, or online training programs for these folks. • We will also look to churches in the outlying areas to host group wellness and fitness seminars and workshops for their communities. • Individuals within the 25–50-year-old range are more apt to take a wellness and fitness regimen more seriously. • Military veterans, and emergency responders may require special programs due to injury and stress. • Fitness -driven / high activity lifestyles. • Active and retired athletic community. Summary: Our center is focused on providing the best-in-class experience for our members. Our vision is our passion for helping people of all ages to achieve the best results in wellness and fitness based on their individual goals. We know that member satisfaction is essential to the success of our Whole Person system. This can only be achieved if our members are provided with the tools to reach ‘Their’ goals of a complete mind, body, and spiritual rejuvenation at the level they desire.

Executive Summary

Executive Summary 3PL Services, Inc., a Tennessee corporation, presents a business plan for Fitness 1440 Nashville, ‘Whole Person Wellness and Fitness Center’. This center of hope and replenishment will be in Middle Tennessee. The vison is to provide a ‘Whole Person Wellness and Fitness System’ where each individual member of the facility can strive to achieve the goals and results, they desire. The Challenge of Maintaining Wellness and Fitness: Maintaining wellness and fitness can be a significant challenge due to various factors, including lifestyle choices, environmental influences, and personal barriers. In addition, drug addiction, air and water pollution, the constant bombardment of our bodies by viruses and disease, and mental illness are also factors that have dramatic and long-lasting effects on wellness and fitness. In almost all cases, individual gyms, spas, drug addiction programs and state or county run mental illness help programs may only address one area of these many challenges. They are restricted or limited in the scope, funding, or politics of the services or activities they are allowed to provide. The biggest overall challenge as we see it is this. For an individual to maintain a truly measurable, and sustainable higher level of wellness and fitness, they must have access to a system that encompasses the ‘Whole Person’. It must address the physical, mental, spiritual and financial needs of the person and be available in a safe environment. SOLUTION: Our solution is to provide a wellness and fitness center that is focused on achieving the best possible results for its members. A playbook for, ‘The Whole Person Wellness and Fitness System’ will be developed where each individual member of the facility can strive to achieve the goals and results, they desire. These goals and results will be based on their own needs and circumstances, not what society or peer pressure tells them is right for them. It must be on their own terms, with guidance and tracking by professionals related to what is needed to achieve those goals and results. When they come to our facility, they will be treated with respect. There will be no judgement as to their challenges, and a path to what they define as success will be developed, implemented, and monitored. The areas that will be addressed include but will not be limited to the following: 1. Nutrition: Poor dietary choices, such as excessive consumption of processed foods or inadequate nutrient intake, can hinder overall wellness.  Our center will provide a nutrition evaluation and include (body fat levels), (body scans) measurements of vitamin and mineral levels, and better nutrition counseling from a professional Naturopath. 2. Stress: High levels of stress can negatively impact both mental and physical well-being.  Yoga and Tai Chi classes will be offered. In addition, stress counseling will be offered with a professional naturopath. 3. Injury and Illness: Injuries and illnesses can disrupt everyday life, fitness routines and hinder progress in attaining the best quality of life.  Access will be offered to physical therapy, chiropractic care, deep tissue laser therapy and other natural regimens to help in tissue and joint repair. 4. Financial Constraints: Gym memberships, fitness classes, and nutritious food can be expensive.  Membership scholarships or reduced rates will be offered to seniors, military and emergency response members both active and retired, and individuals with limited finances due to disability or mental health issues. 5. Lack of Knowledge: Not knowing where to start or how to exercise effectively can be a barrier.  Certified trainers will assist all new members, beginning with their first visit to determine the first steps for achieving the goals of the individual. If further training is desired, a program can be customized for members based on their goals and financial ability to pay. 6. Social and Environmental Influences: Social situations and environments may encourage unhealthy habits.  Our facility will be a welcoming, safe environment for everyone. We will encourage an environment of positiveness and mutual respect. 7. Aging and Changing Body: As the body ages, it may require adjustments in fitness routines and nutritional needs.  Special attention will be given to elderly members to ensure the best results and safety.
